Because many of my students are emergent readers, they need to be read to frequently. Not all of my students can afford headphones for use with their school Chromebooks. Having headphones in my room will allow students to work individually to become readers. Students need to be comfortable while they are learning. My students love to lounge around the room when they write, and clipboards will make that easier. Large Post-It pads allow group work and the freedom to share easily. Gallery walks become possible when we can quickly display group work for others to see.
