The last two years the pandemic has shown us how important it is to make the most of each day inside the classroom! I work at a small rural school where most of the kids do not have internet at home or parent support. As a first grade teacher, I have to make the most of each day we are in person. The problem is this is my first year as a first grade teacher and I am lacking the hands on manipulatives that are so important to education. Oklahoma just passed the "play to learn" act giving teachers the ability to incorporate more hands on activities in our classroom. The only problem is a lot of the time we have to pay for these items ourselves but are not able too . I would love to have more STEM, art, and literacy centers in my classroom to make the most of our time in the classroom. Thank your for this opportunity to try to obtain some of them.
