Little kindergartners have big imaginations and emotions. During the pandemic, children have had to face many difficult issues. I am asking for various art supplies such as colored pencils, paint sticks, ink and stamps, markers, and colored paper to help them with expression as well as helping them to develop fine motor skills. We also use art as a way to reinforce themes and concepts that we are learning in the classroom. It is hard to have enough supplies especially when we are not able to share all materials as much because of Covid-19 precautions. The students begin the year with only 2 boxes of regular crayons, pencils, and a watercolor set. I would like to give them the opportunity to create to their heart's desire with several different choices of materials. Students take pride in sharing their creations.
