My students have been sitting on broken stools and they love to sit in my "teacher" chair. It is a special treat on days that we break into our "Book Talks" with trade books that we are reading. They feel important when we are working in small groups discussing characters in stories and how we relate to each one. The seating just makes the individual time together more special. Kids need a time to talk with their teachers and this provides the perfect opportunity! My students are so appreciative and love new items in the classroom!
