Due to Covid-19, my students have missed some critical building blocks of their education. Their reading levels are highly varied. They absolutely treasure their reading time whether it is being read aloud to or reading independently. The leveled bookshelf and bins will give my students an easy and organized way to choose appropriate books based on their reading levels. It would be a great addition to my print rich classroom. The rug will give us an organized, non-crowded seating area for our whole group instructional time. My students also love to get out of their desks an “pick a spot” in the classroom to relax and read independently. Being appropriately spaced out is crucial to students focusing and to maintain an appropriate social distance.
