All of our students want to experience music through playing musical instruments. When we only have one or two piano keyboards for them to use, it is hard to keep them all engaged while they wait their turn to play. Having enough piano keyboards available will allow the students to stay engaged in the music lesson. Using portable mini-piano keyboards that they can hold in their laps will provide the opportunity for the students to experience, create, and improvise their own music. Piano keyboards are a great way for students to explore music, and develop creativity. Piano keyboards are also a great was to teach musical concepts such as "pitch" (highness and lowness of sound) and "dynamics" (loudness and softness of sound). In addition, having some portable mini-piano keyboards that older students can take home with them will allow for enhanced performance preparation when we are doing distance learning.
