I’ve requested many books that discuss character. Many students have suffered from social neglect due to COVID-19 and these books are a great way to learn and show character traits that they may not be used to. My second-grade class is full of readers and is in second place for Accelerated Reader points out of my K-5 school. Each and every day I strive to build a love for reading so that my students will grow into everyday readers outside of the classroom as well. I’ve also requested art supplies for my students to express themselves through fun and engaging activities.
