Covid-19 has caused some gaps in students' learning. In our Choir classroom, I am working on increasing each student's ability to read and write music notation. Students have lap boards and now with these new expo markers and wipes for each student, they can learn to write the notes themselves at their seats. They can erase mistakes and re-write as needed without wasting paper. This is a more sustainable project. We know that a full belly creates a better opportunity for learning. Covid-19 has hurt the finances of some of our parents and schools can help students have a full belly. Therefore, when students ask for a snack, it can be provided with this project. With a full belly and proper school supplies, these choir students will be learning how to read and write music notes along with all their beautiful concert pieces.
