Covid 19 and the pandemic response shifted many to online learning. While this platform works well for some learners, many of my alternative and high risk students do not do well with reading lengthy works on a computer for reasons such as poor eye health and short attentions. My students come to me for various reasons and a multi level and varied strategy for teaching is necessary. The books I selected pair with the online learning platform we have for both English and historical topics. I also have requested calculators as the imbedded ones in the program are not easy for students who have a more tactile learning style.
