My goal is to provide students a reading cafe where they are able to enjoy and find their love for reading. The goal is to find books for my students that are relevant to today. Additionally, it is important for students’ cultures to be represented in the books they read which is something I never received growing up. These deserve books that they are Interested in so that they find the joy that books provide. These books can be utilized during our Guided Reading time and for our classroom library where students can check out books to read at home.
