These journals will help inspire students to become better writers. They look like authentic journals rather than the traditional composition notebooks. Students will use these journals to respond to reading, free write, and note their observations. Writing gives students a voice that they may not feel comfortable sharing otherwise. Over time, writing practice will help with word choice, vocabulary, organizing thoughts, and sentence structure. I'm exited to give my students this opportunity and hopefully foster a lifelong writer. Thank you in advance for providing my students with another avenue to share their thoughts.
