The resources requested help me continue to provide an environment that is fun and engaging for my students. This type of environment not only has students looking forward to coming to my class, but helps them generalize learned targets. In my experience, when I tailor games to match our learning targets, the increased engagement in the activities assists in carryover. A successful education is not only content, but how we use the content outside of the learning environment. Kids enjoy having fun and my goal is that if I can teach them with 'structured fun', they will be able to use their skills when having regular fun in other locations. In addition to carryover, showing these students that we can still enjoy life in the midst of all of the heaviness of COVID-19 is demonstrating the resilience I hope all my kids can appreciate when they look back at their educational experiences.
