I want to create an environment where students are comfortable and engaged. Flexible seating encourages students to choose their best spot to stay calm, be focused and productive. Not all students learn in the same way at the same pace. I have also asked for several hands on learning activities. Being a special education teacher it is my job to provide the style of learning that best fits each of my students. These materials will be beneficial in doing that. The last thing I have requested is a new cage for our classroom pets. We have 2 guinea pigs that the students love. Students are learning to be responsible, gentle, and are caring for the needs of another living being.
