My dream is to take the excitement students come to school with and use it to create a garden space. The garden space will give them a place to practice taking turns, following instructions, measuring, counting, creating, listening, following directions, predicting, and recording information. Every readiness skill can be practiced in this garden space and transferred to connect to classroom learning. Students have been isolated due to COVID-19. Many have not learned SEL or early childhood skills that would help ensure success in the Kinder classroom. Green Thumbs for Growth will address all the readiness indicators in a fun way.

About my class
