Sewing helps students develop fine motor skills and improves focus and concentration. It teaches self-control and patience. It developes confidence and provides students with needed skills, which enhances their overall self-esteem. Students love creating projects with hands-on experiences. They can see their projects come to life day by day, which motivates them to continue working toward their final goals. Students learn that sewing can be a tremendous stress reliever. They look forward to coming into class, getting their supplies together and learning new skills each day. They absolutely love showing off their finished projects.
