The students use calculators daily to solve math problems. When working with the students, I realized that they do not have calculators at home to use. These are essential items when trying to solve middle school math problems. Students can use these calculators at school, home, and for state testing. These students have to be home a lot more than usual due to COVID-19. These calculators are a tool they can take home and use when they have to. My hope is that providing these calculators for my students will help lesson the burden and stress that many of them are already facing.
