Science lab activities went from being hands on, inquiry based wonderful opportunities for learning to simulations, Youtube videos, and demonstrations. When our district came back face to face the students were really excited about getting back into the science lab. One of their very favorite activities is learning to use a microscope and exploring a world they can’t normally see themselves. But with the pandemic, social distancing, and limited microscopes it has been challenging. Increasing the number of easy to use microscopes for my students will give each one an opportunity to explore their world in a way they just haven’t been able to in the past few years.
