My project will help my students develop oral language skills and social emotional skills through dramatic play. My students are lacking in oral language development and are exhibiting developmental delays due to COVID. Parents have shared how their children never played with other children due to the pandemic. The majority of the children have not had the opportunity to work with pretend play, puzzles or basic fine motor skills. They will develop fine motor skills and problem-solving skills through the use of puzzles and manipulatives. My scholars would benefit from the alphabet sound puzzles for oral language development as well as developing their English language since most of them are primarily Spanish speakers. The Osmo Kit will stimulate their creativity as well as review much needed skills in language and math. Any chance they can use technology to learn makes it exciting for PK! I can see how my scholars would flourish given the opportunity to practice their newfound skills and have fun with their peers as they learn!
