Virtual reality is a great way to enable my special education students to learn new information using a unique method. VR would allow my students to use all of their senses and become immersed in the lesson. Technology can be a great tool in education but many schools and classrooms are using out of date materials. Students have smart phones that cost more than $1000 but must often step back in time 20 years when using educational tools in the classroom. Teaching real life skills to my special education students will enable them to be more self-sufficient once they graduate from high school.
