My first graders have NEVER had a "normal" year of school. Their education has gotten off to a rocky start due to the ongoing pandemic and it shows. First graders have less focus and are performing under expectations this year. Flexible seating options will give my students a chance to move and wiggle as they learn. In first grade, it's important to transition from one place to another every twenty minutes or so to allow those little bodies to move and little brains to re-focus. Flexible seating options in my classroom will give my students an opportunity to do just that!
