Classroom transformations are fun activities to increase scholar learning and engagement. The Breakout EDU kit and Reading Writing Skills folder activities will allow my students to role play that of a veterinarian at a pet hospital or a secret agent by providing station activities during the classroom transformation. I will use the spy glasses, crime scene tap and glow-sticks to transform my classroom into a spy room. The lab coats and paw prints will be used for the pet hospital. Scholars will participate in station activities dealing with animals. They will do animal writing lessons, piecing together key ideas in readings about animals, and annotating reading passages. As secret agents they will investigate sentence structure, parts of speech, textual evidence and, inference. The lessons will cover the standards that need to be addressed in third grade, but will be done as surgeons and secret agents performing these tasks. "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn."---Benjamin Children learn best by doing, and when they can use their imaginations to fully engage in their learning, that's when the magic happens!
