Specifically, the headphones allow my students to focus when doing online learning tasks and assignments. This is critical both in class and virtual learning due to quarantines or weather. The white board and clocks allow for a more differentiated teaching approach using them as manipulatives and large visual cues in our reading,ELA, and math lessons. The rug is large enough for my students to spread out a bit when having group time, which is essential during a pandemic. But provides a boundaries and behavior management for carpet time which is also essential for a first grade classroom.
