When we grow mold in our classroom and I explain that mold is tiny mushrooms my students can not see the evidence. A microscope would allow the students the chance to examine the mold. The composting kit will allow the to see first hand what composting really is. Space is one of the most interesting studies for most of my students. I need them to understand how planets orbit around the Sun. I can explain it and show them videos, but it would be so much more interesting to see it.
