My goal is to make learning fun and engaging. Math and reading without the right tools can be a challenge for students to master. NONE of my students has experienced a typical school year yet. The students that did go to Prekindergarten did so during this pandemic. Many of them spent at least half of the year learning virtually. Their education has been disrupted by quarantines and illness. I want to set the foundation in kindergarten so students can be successful in their academic endeavor. I use manipulatives that will support students who need time to absorb when I teach math and reading, they are great tools to engage and develop understanding in students. These learning centers will build a foundation towards spelling words, sight words, and reading. As well as, build number sense in math by using a variety of math manipulatives and games. The centers will allow students to be independent and build confidence in learning.
