The ability to read shapes our future. Giving children books that provide positive examples allow children to see the world outside the small town that they reside. Children in our school come from low socioeconomic settings and the change in their daily routine of school with the pandemic has affected their physical and emotional well-being. The variety of book genres I am wanting to add to my classroom library will help foster success in skills such as phonics, grammar and literacy skills. My reluctant readers will become engaged and excel in my classroom and in their regular classroom. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom.
