The parallel text Julius Caesar books will help my students understand the play better by having the modern language on the opposite page, and the art supplies will help tremendously as we are able to once again participate in group projects. Our school does not offer art anymore, so I am doubly excited about providing quality art supplies for my students to use. One of my favorite units to teach is Julius Caesar. I love how students from all kinds of backgrounds, abilities, popular or not popular, come together as we read the play. "Crossing the Rubicon" has always been one of my favorite phrases in Julius Caesar. It means to take an irrevocable step that commits one to a specific course. I am trying to encourage my students that it is time to "Cross the Rubicon" and leave behind the fear and anxiety of COVID, as best we can, and pursue the specific course of life each student has ahead of them. By donating to this project, you will be helping students achieve academically as they understand more details of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar and solidifying learning through the art supplies provided to use for group projects. These group projects have sorely been missed due to COVID-19. Art projects, in particular, have always brought a calming atmosphere in my classroom along with social interaction and collaboration among students.
