These books will help expand our classroom's multicultural literature selection. We have a significant number of Native American students in our school district. This novel would be a fantastic way to incorporate Native American literature into our classroom! The goal is for my students to have a better understanding and appreciation for multicultural literature with an emphasis on Native American stories. This novel would be a perfect anchor text during our Holocaust/World War II unit. My students would be excited to have a WWII story about the Native Americans who played a part in the United States victory in Europe.
