To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I would love to offer flexible seating to get students spread out through the classroom. It allows them to change their location, and they feel empowerment in getting to make a choice. Children are more attentive when they are allowed to move. Comfortable students can become engaged students. I would also love to provide my students with clipboards for them to write on while in their flexible seats. In a time of uncertainty, I would love for them to know each day when they walk into my classroom, that learning can still be fun. Receiving more manipulatives such as the dice, electronic flash card, multiplication bingo, magna-tiles, and geometric solids will engage my energetic learners. These resources will help my students gain more knowledge in math and strengthen higher level thinking. Students whose parents struggle financially, would benefit greatly from a class set of headphones for us to use with our chromebooks as well. My students deserve to have the resources that will best benefit them. Our classroom would also benefit from the teaching resources I have chosen. Strengthening our writing, reading, and multiplication is vital. These children have lost a lot during the Covid-19 pandemic; however, we can do everything in our power to help them gain it back.
