Sensory play encourages children to learn through the senses using problem solving, creativity, and imagination. Sensory play can also build language development in non verbal or limited language children, it can encourage fine and gross motor skills, and it can enhance social play, Sensory play can also help a child to build their perceptions of their environment through all of their senses. Sensory play will help and encouragement brain development while using all of the senses. This is especially important in younger children because it can help enhance memory in the brain. And lastly sensory play has been very successful in calming or including children who may be anxious or nervous to be at school or just in a new environment..
