My special education classroom is set up in rotating stations. Stocking our listening center will provide another format for my students to learn to read. Students will be able to follow along with the text while listening to the story. This will help increase their foundational reading skills they are still working on due to time missed from the pandemic. In the special education classroom, students are more likely to participate in activities that interest them. The variety of fiction and non-fiction books will appeal to all of my students. The listening center will be a big hit with so many books to choose from. My students will be well on their way to reading independently.
