Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I have noticed that it is harder for students to sit still and focus during lessons. My students are always moving. The children are constantly asking to sit on the floor, at another table, or even in the hallway. It seems that the desks we have in our classroom are holding some students back, rather than encouraging their learning. My goal is to help each and every student to reach their full potential. I believe I can do this by providing them opportunities to make their own choice in seating that will best benefit their learning. The wobble chair is adjustable, so they will be able to sit at their desks or a lower table. The kick bands are great for my students who are constantly needing to stand up or walk around. The portable lap desks will be beneficial for my students who like to sit on the floor. Because of the pandemic, students are having to catch up on standards they have missed. This makes focusing on lessons even more important. By giving my students a choice in where they work, they will be more engaged. Flexible seating will boost their confidence and motivation.
