Because of the pandemic, this is the first time that many of my students have been in a group setting with other children. They have been delayed on receiving some of the problem-solving and communication skills necessary to interact with others. Dramatic play is a type of play where the children assign roles and act them out. These materials, such as a dollhouse, baby dolls and more, with help provide the children with the skills necessary to socialize, work together, and problem solve. They will learn problem-solving skills and learn what is necessary to communicate with each other in a joint play adventure.
