Social and emotional skills are important for a well-rounded child. They have to be able to interact with others around them. Sometimes this is hard and can even be challenging for some. They themselves sometimes don't understand what they should be doing, how to navigate the skills, or why. With the way the world is today, emotions and social interactions are limited and confusing and making it harder to learn when and how to do things. Giving young students a safe place to learn and work through these social and emotional skills will help them succeed in their learning and in everyday life. What they learn in school will carry over into their everyday life. By giving students different tools and the ability to practice social and emotional skills, they can become successful individuals. Through reading stories, activities, and games that are done in small groups, they can interact, ask questions, and learn coping skills in a safe environment where they can make mistakes and learn from them.
