These supplies will allow my students to use color to enhance their learning experience. Financially, these are a burden on the families in our community. The highlighters will be used to identify their parts of speech by color. The color pencils will be used to illustrate their vocabulary words, as well as their writing. We all know that color adds an element of engagement to a student's work. The poster sized post-its will allow me to create an anchor chart for that day while leaving the white boards free to illustrate the lesson. The erasers and sharpener will be the support team to keep the students going.
