This leveled library will encourage my students to gain reading and fluency strategies when utilized one-on-one or in small reading groups. It will also be instrumental in my remedial reading instruction, enabling my struggling students to reach a third grade reading level. Reading fluency will also create a self-confidence within all of my students as they are learning in all of their curricular areas. Our school district lacks the extra resources to equip each classroom with current and extensive materials to reach students who have needs beyond the basic curriculum, so I feel especially privileged to apply for this important opportunity.

About my class
