Students will use rulers and paper to create models on paper. They will learn and use the art origami to help them create a 3 dimensional representation of their model using folded paper. These phases of the project may be completed at home. Utilizing the FlashForge 3 D printer, students will create a scaled version of their model. This will allow students to compare and relate 3 different representations of a single model of their choosing. They will be able to incorporate new technology to help them better understand proportional relationships and fundamental geometric properties.
