Students learn best when they take an idea and apply it themselves. Makey Makey takes complicated coding and circuitry and makes them accessible to even the youngest learners. It allows them to be creative and active in their learning. These Makey Makeys would help kids who struggle to sit still have a place they can put their hands on materials and explore in a new way. The problem-solving and troubleshooting skills they learn are applicable to all areas of life. The one Makey Makey we currently own has been a real hit in a library display, and the kids have had endless questions about how it works. I would love to be able to teach whole class lessons and see the light in their eyes when they're able to make their own "magic" with a Makey Makey. We also do an annual Wax Museum project with our gifted and talented learners and enabling them to each use a Makey Makey would create even more realistic projects.
