Our students need outdoor recess! Some many of these students don't have safe outdoor places to play at home. Recess is the perfect time to socialize, get the "wiggles" out and get fresh air before getting down to business in the classroom. The equipment requested will allow them to work in groups or alone. But most importantly they are physically active! My students love the chance to play soccer and/or basketball. Jump ropes allow them to choose to jump alone or in groups. Catching baskets promote the opportunity to create their own games.
