Books are a great way to engage students while targeting speech and language goals. In the group and individual settings, we work on vocabulary, grammar, narrative retelling, sequencing, articulation, concepts, and comprehension. The books that I have chosen specifically target the goals we work on in speech. We then use the theme of each book to guide activities to further reinforce speech and language goals. The bookcase will give us a place to put the books that have the ability to close to avoid distractions. The cart to carry our resources for push-in services will be ideal.
