As a teacher in a low socioeconomic school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, they are exceptionally hard workers and dedicated to improving their academic outcomes. During these past years, our school has had to adapt quickly due to transitioning to distance learning and the challenges that we have faced due to Covid- 19. We have come very far since the beginning of the pandemic, and our students have worked extremely hard to adapt to our changes in learning. Now being back in the classroom, we are still working to make the advancements necessary to benefit our students in the classroom, and while we are in virtual leaning mode. With the technology aid advancements of mice, headphones, and a document camera, it will help my students be more successful when using technology inside the classroom. These additions to our classroom will greatly benefit the students’ transitions to a more technological classroom. Also, I would love the addition of more diverse library books which will help my students’ learn about different cultures.
