My students learning, social/emotional, and fine motor levels are extremely low this year. We need items that will help the kiddos develop those skills and independence. Items are also needed to allow for teacher interventions. The items will give opportunities for my students to be successful in our PreK classroom. Chair pockets will hang right on the kiddo’s chairs with items that are readily available to foster independent learning. I can include items in the pockets that can be differentiated to fit individual student needs. Dry Erase Pockets have multiple uses in my classroom. We use them to practice tracing and writing names, shapes, letters, numbers, etc. This reduces paper waste because it makes worksheets reusable. (These will also be used in the chair pockets for their different needs). LR Building Sets, Magnetic Tiles, and Sticky Brix are perfect items for fine motor and stem. These items are fantastic for small groups/centers that will allow students to work together building things, giving them a chance to continue developing social/emotional skills.
