I want to develop a classroom where the sense of wonder and creativity is enriched by every student. It has been proven that learning centers help students to grow socially, academically, and emotionally. Children learn a lot about themselves from play. For example in my family center one can see a student use new vocabulary and social skills to enhance concepts that were taught in a traditional classroom setting. Another center that students are drawn to is a veterinarian center. This center helps create a love of animals and helps increase understanding of good health practices. Students will also enjoy the use of a sensory table. Which will include sand, beans, and a number of toys that will improve their small motor skills. I’m hoping with the funding of this project, I can instill the love of learning for our future leaders.
