My first graders education has been impacted due to COVID-19 from the beginning of their school experience. Their Pre-K school year was cut short with the beginning of the pandemic, ending in-person learning in March. Their Kindergarten school year was split with many of them learning online from home and the others in-person with heavy COVID limiting instruction. Making this school year their first real experience to full time in class learning. COVID-19 has robbed my students of the time needed to develop skills they need to be successful in the classroom. With this project I will be able to provide my students with a choice on where and how to sit that will benefit them the most to be successful everyday. I want my students to feel comfortable so they can focus on learning and be encouraged and motivated at the same time.
