Since the start of the pandemic, my students have gotten so behind in their reading and writing skills. It is nearly impossible for their regular teachers to get them to where they were before the pandemic hit. Science allows the children to explore their world around them and journaling will help them to express their thoughts on what they have learned and how it pertains to our world today. This in turn will give them much needed practice on their writing skills. My students will benefit so much by having the materials that I have requested. By providing them with composition notebooks, pencils, and a place to store it all, they will be able to express their thoughts and record their findings through our science investigations.
