Each child in my class is special and unique in their own way allowing their learning style to be as special and unique as they are. Flexible seating provides options for students who prefer a more relaxed seating arrangement as opposed to the traditional desk arrangement. Having the option of flexible seating will also give us the safe space we need to keep due to the pandemic. I have noticed a significant difference in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. When my students are comfortable and content, they are more engaged in their work and stay focused and on task all while facing the added stress of COVID-19. I will use the Surf Lap boards, seat pillows, and partitions to create a safe and relaxed environment while working in large groups as well as small groups. By using the Surf Lap Desks, dividers, and pillow seats, I will give my students additional seating options that will keep them safe amid the pandemic. Giving my students the options to choose their seating preference will help them be more actively engaged and enthusiastic about their learning, as well as being safe during COVID-19.
