Students will be using the microscopes to see onion cells at various stages of the cell cycle. Students can draw what they see or use the camera on their phone to take pictures of what they see. They will be able to see chromosomes and identify the various stages of the cell cycle. Students will share their pictures and drawing with other students in the class. They will then learn that the cell cycle must be controlled and monitored by the cells of the body. When the body loses control of cell division, it cause the disease called cancer.
