In my classroom we work on life skills and one crucial skill is to learn to cook. Many students in my classroom have very little experience using kitchen tools like a mixer or a can opener. With this project, students will gain greater access to kitchen tools. The kitchen equipment and supplies will assist my students to learn to cook independently. They will be able to practice using the tools by making simple foods like rice, macaroni, rolls, and cookies. These skills will be beneficial as they prepare and transition out of high school.
