As students are learning the important basics of agriculture, they become interested in commodities that are from all over the world. Most of our students are ELL and have migrated from South America where they use and grow different commodities than around here. By having this hydroponic systems, students would be able to grow local and nonlocal crops. It would also be exciting for students to get a real understanding for how crops grow and the importance of the nutrients we get from them. It is a way to bring students from all different cultures together when they can come together over origin commodities.
