Building a DJ system at the school gives students an opportunity to try something new and interesting to them. At-Risk students do not typically get involved in extra-curricular activities. They don't get opportunities to try new things. By owning our own DJ equipment we have the ability to have more school events that can be DJ'd and/or emceed by students. This grant will give students the tools to plan, organize, and create activities for the school, giving them real-life experiences! Students who get these opportunities are more likely to engage in school activities and build positive relationships.

About my class
