The Metaverse and the virtual world are already here. This is the "second internet" as many experts are calling it. Instead of waiting to utilize this technology for education, as we did with computers and other past technologies, we need to integrate it into our curriculum. For the social studies department, we would be able to drop kids into a location or battle we are learning about. With this technology, students will be immersed in experiences, rather than listening to lectures or the outdated teaching methods. Simulations, role plays, and programming are all possibilities with this technology. The sky is the limit and our goal is to reach that limit.
